Our team was in Artsakh on September 27th
A great number of volunteers are involved in this work.
Early in the morning we woke up from the sounds of bombs. At first, we thought that it would stop shortly, but the shelling continued. They were hitting randomly in the direction of Stepanakert and Shushi. Men, immediately started relocating their families in the underground shelters, and then headed off to the frontline.
We neither had time for panic nor fear, we had to act fast and we started relocating families from dangerous areas. Some of the families are now under our patronage and thanks to the members of our church, we are able to provide them with food, clothing and with all necessary things. People come visit and they bring food, vegetables, fruits, they bring whatever they can and have. A great number of volunteers are involved in this work.
Since the beginning of the war, more than a thousand people were evacuated from Artsakh with our help, about 200 of those people are currently under our care. People come and help us cook meals for the refugees, play with the children, interact with their parents and they do their best to support with whatever they can. For entertaining the children and making their days more colorful, we organize trips to different entertainment and educational centers. They have been to the Yerevan zoo, libraries, a printing house and a pottery studio. Almost every day, we deliver humanitarian aid to Artsakh and the borders, the list includes but is not limited to: food, clothing, necessary things for hygiene and other needs. We pray 24 hours a day for the peace of our country, so that the war would end and there would be no more victims.
